Tinto de Verano
A refreshing Spanish cocktail that's perfect for summer. Here's a simple recipe for a festive twist using red wine and ginger ale
Ingredients
- 125 ml red wine
- 125 ml ginger ale
- Ice cubes
- Sliced citrus fruits lemon, lime, orange for garnish (optional)
Method
- Fill a glass with ice cubes. You can use a wine glass or a highball glass for this cocktail.
- Pour equal parts red wine and ginger ale into the glass. Start with around 1 part red wine and 1 part ginger ale, adjusting the ratio to your taste preferences.
- Gently stir the mixture to combine the flavours without losing the carbonation from the ginger ale.
- Optionally, garnish the drink with slices of citrus fruits like lemon, lime, or orange for a burst of freshness. This step is entirely optional but can add a nice visual appeal and extra flavour to your drink.
- Serve chilled and enjoy your festive twist on the classic Tinto de Verano!
