Ingredients

  • 120 g butter
  • 160 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 30 g protein powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 150 g maple syrup
  • 100 g dark chocolate chips
  • 70 g m&m’s / smarties
  • 80 g peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180℃. Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper.
  • Beat the butter and maple syrup together. Add in the peanut butter, vanilla, and egg. Beat until smooth. Add in the protein powder, flour, baking soda and salt. Fold in the chocolate chips. Do not add the M&M’s at this stage.
  • Scoop the dough out into I big round tablespoon size. Use cold wet hands to shape the dough.
  • Place at least 2 inches apart on the prepared tray.
  • Bake for 7 minutes, take the tray out and dot the M&M or smarties on top.
  • Bake for about another 3/4 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, give them a little magic tap tap to deflate and allow them to cook and cool at the same time on the tray for about 5/10 minutes.
  • Eat warm or store immediately in a ziplock reusable-style freezer bag

Notes

Note: You can also freeze the dough balls and bake them individually as you like.
Note: You can replace the maple syrup with 100g soft brown sugar for a more cost-effective result.
