Sunday Energy: The Quiet Power of an Energy Audit

Hands tossing a warm salad of roasted potatoes, tomatoes, and fresh greens with two forks over a white bowl.

There’s something quietly sacred about a Sunday, a pause between the chapters, an exhale before the inhale of the week ahead. And yet, how often do we glide through it unconsciously, already bracing ourselves for the Monday sprint?

This week, I want to offer you something gentle. Something grounding. A mindful practice I come back to time and time again: the Sunday Energy Audit.

Not a checklist. Not a to-do. But a compassionate invitation to look inward to ask, simply and honestly

What’s giving me energy right now?

What’s quietly draining it?

Our lives are full. Our calendars, even fuller. But not everything deserves a place in your week just because it can fit. Your time is precious. Your energy is sacred. And just like we audit our budgets or tidy our homes, our emotional and physical energy deserves the same loving attention.

Sometimes it’s the tiniest shifts that offer the deepest relief:

A walk without your phone.

A lunch that’s actually eaten sitting down.

A meeting declined with grace.

Or just ten slow minutes to breathe, stretch, and sip.

You’re allowed to honour what feels heavy. You’re allowed to release what feels forced. You’re allowed to protect your energy like the resource it truly is.

You’re allowed to honour what feels heavy. You’re allowed to release what feels forced. You’re allowed to protect your energy like the resource it truly is.

So here’s your invitation:

This Sunday, before you dive into planning, pause. Reflect. Realign.

Because your week deserves to be rooted in what nourishes you, not just what demands you.

And remember the goal isn’t perfection. It’s permission.

To slow down. To soften. To begin again.
