The Work
For female entrepreneurs and business owners, from start-ups to SMEs, effective leadership requires more than confidence, communication or positional authority.
It requires the ability to understand how behaviour, decision-making, expertise, values and relationships combine to influence people and outcomes.
Aisling’s approach brings behavioural insight and practical leadership frameworks together, giving participants a structured way to examine how they lead, identify gaps between intention and perception, and translate those insights into more deliberate choices and measurable impact. Leadership begins with self-leadership and is built on clarity, integrity and presence — where purpose and behaviour align.
At Network Ireland Waterford’s Science Week lunch, the session began by defining leadership through self-awareness, alignment, presence and influence, before moving into a practical exploration of leadership archetypes. Participants examined the difference between how they believe they lead and how others experience their leadership, using that gap to identify patterns, perceptions and potential growth edges. The approach positioned self-awareness not as an end in itself, but as the starting point for more effective leadership decisions and behaviour.

The Space Where Everything Changes
From there, Aisling Larkin introduced her own Conscious Choice Architecture framework as a practical approach to translating awareness into action. Built around Mind-Body Mastery, Environmental Design and Dynamic Behavioural Transformation, the framework examines how internal states, environments and habitual behaviours influence decision-making — and how leaders can consciously shape those conditions to support more consistent, values-aligned action.
The masterclass then moved into values, mastery and implementation. Through Aisling’s Wild Soul Values exercise, participants identified the values most important to them and connected those values to mastery, agency, influence and impact. Rather than leaving the exercise at reflection, they were asked to translate their values into specific leadership actions for the following 30–60 days.

The Deliverables
A practical leadership development masterclass combining behavioural insight, structured reflection, strategic frameworks and actionable implementation.
•Leadership self-awareness & perception
•Values and purpose alignment
•Conscious Choice Architecture
•Mastery, USP & integrity in action
•Influence & cross-network connection
•30–60 day leadership action plan
The session also explored the practical factors that influence leadership effectiveness, including scarcity versus abundance mindsets, the difference between “filling” and “fulfilling” habits, and how leaders can consciously draw on different modes of confidence, decision-making, collaboration and empathy according to context.
Aisling also positioned mastery and unique value as foundations of leadership power. Technical expertise builds credibility; a distinctive USP creates differentiation; and integrity connects what a leader knows, does and demonstrates. Together, these create the trust from which influence can grow.
The final stage of the masterclass extended leadership beyond the individual, examining influence as a force multiplier. Participants explored how to map their networks, build strategic relationships, bridge gaps between groups and use their expertise to create broader opportunities for collaboration and impact.

The Results
The masterclass gave Network Ireland members a practical leadership framework that connected self-awareness with implementation. Rather than presenting leadership as a fixed style or a position of authority, the session linked values and behaviour with credibility, decision-making, influence, relationships and measurable impact.
That practical application was reflected in the response from the network. Ann Marie Shannon highlighted how members were particularly struck by the gap between how leaders think they lead and how they are perceived, the application of Wild Soul Values, the distinction between “filling” and “fulfilling” habits, and the connection between technical mastery and strategic influence.
She described Aisling as a dynamic communicator who balanced strategic insight with genuine warmth, leaving the network with an actionable roadmap to lead consciously, act deliberately and shape a culture where leadership lasts.

Awareness. Alignment. Action. Impact.
Leadership development becomes meaningful when insight changes what happens next.
Aisling’s Impact Leadership approach gives entrepreneurs, business leaders and women-led networks a practical methodology for examining how they lead, understanding the choices behind their behaviour, strengthening their unique value and turning awareness into action.
Because leadership is not simply about the position you hold. It is a state of awareness expressed through action, influence and measurable impact.
